第５２回ミロンガ開催のご報告

　２０１１年８月２５日（木）午後６時３０分から午後９時３０分まで、第５２回目のTokyo Milongaを中目黒ＧＴプラザホール（目黒区）で開きました。お天気は曇り。相変わらずの暑さでしたが、会場内は比較的冷房が効いていたように感じました。参加者数は男性４７人、女性４３人の計９０人（男性比率５２・２％）。過去５２回の累計参加者は４０３０人、１回当たりの平均が７７・５人、男性比率は４９・１％でした。直近５回の参加者数は１回当たりの平均が９０・０人となっています。

　選曲はmilonguera tomokoさんが担当しました。「最近気になる言葉があります。アルゼンチンの新聞『Clarin』紙と、ブエノスアイレスで活躍中のLamさんのブログで「Lindo」という言葉に立て続けに出会いました。この言葉にはスペイン語で「美しく、素晴らしく」などの意味があります。それがどんな感覚なのかまだ分からないけれど、どうやら雰囲気のあるダンスを踊るカップルには「Lindo」な感覚が溢れているようです。確かにスペイン語圏では何だか雰囲気のあるものをみると「Que lindo!!!」なんて褒め言葉を贈っていますが、そこには素晴らしさだけでなく、温かさも溢れているように思えます。そんな感覚が溢れる空間になると良いなと思いを込めて、選曲を担当させていただきます」（milonguera tomokoさん）。今回もライブな選曲にこだわった内容でお届けしました。milonguera tomokoさんもほぼＤＪブースに腰を落ち着け、緩急自在な選曲で楽しませてくれました。

　次回のTokyo Milongaは９月１日（木）です。選曲はサニーさんが担当します。会場は中目黒ＧＴプラザホール。多くの皆さんのお越しをお待ちしております。

【milonguera tomokoさんによる選曲後記】

　ミロンガにお運びいただきました皆様、有難うございました。昨晩の中目黒もタンゴをこよなく愛する人たちのダンス、そして笑顔に溢れていたように感じました。

　事前に報告することを忘れてしまいましたが、昨晩のコルティーナはClub Gricel（ブエノスアイレス）の「Lunes de Tango」のものを使いました。長さも同様に１分２０秒・・・少し長く感じられた方もいたかもしれません。今回は選曲をしていく段階で、ブエノスアイレスのミロンゲーロたちが好きであろう曲をYouTubeの動画などを通して、改めて考えてみたり・・・。定番の楽団のものでも、定番の曲としてまだ定着していなさそう、それでいて曲の構成がとても心が躍るものもあり。そんなものも取り混ぜてみました。いかがでしたでしょうか？

　今回でTokyoMilongaにおけるソロとしてDJを担当するのは最後になります。お世話になりましたこの場に関わる方々皆さんにお礼申し上げます。今後も、その他の場所でもタンゴという素敵な音楽を分かち合うべく活動をしていきたいと思います。どうぞ宜しくお願い申し上げます。

Report: 52nd Tokyo Milonga

The 52nd Tokyo Milonga took place on Thursday, August 25 at Nakameguro GT Hall, Meguro-ku, Tokyo. It was yet another hot day, but the air-conditioning seemed to be relatively effective. Attendance totaled 47 men and 43 women for a total of 90 dancers (52.2% men). Total attendance to date is 4,030, with an average of 77.5 per milonga (49.1% men). Average attendance for the last five milongas is 90.0.

The DJ was milonguera tomoko. Her message: “Recently I came across the word lindo in Clarin, an Argentine newspaper, and a blog by Lam, who is currently working in Buenos Aires. Lindo is a Spanish word that means “beautiful” or “wonderful.” I don’t quite have the feel for the word yet, but I believe a couple that dances tango with charm can be described as lindo. In Spanish-speaking countries, you hear peoples saying “Que lindo!” when they see something delightful, which seems to convey not only praise but a feeling of warmth as well. As the DJ, I would like the same warm feeling to fill the Tokyo Milonga venue on August 25.” We continued with our live DJ-ing policy, which meant milonguera tomoko was stationed permanently at the DJ booth, selecting tandas on the fly.

The next Tokyo Milonga will be held on Thursday, September 1 with DJ Sonny at our usual venue Nakameguro GT Hall. We look forward to seeing you!

Thank you to everyone who came to the 52nd Tokyo Milonga. As usual, the Nakameguro hall was full of the dancing and happy smiles of people who love tango so much.

I forgot to mention that the cortina I used is from Lunes de Tango at Club Gricel in Buenos Aires. It was the same length as used at the milonga there ? a little long perhaps at 1 minute 20 seconds. In preparing for the night I studied YouTube videos of songs favored by the milongueros of Buenos Aires. Some songs I played were by well-known orchestras, not popular enough to be called standards yet with something exciting about them. I’m interested to hear what you thought.

This was my final solo gig at Tokyo Milonga. Thank you to everyone who supported our milongas. I will continue to share the wonderful music that is tango on other occasions. I look forward to seeing you all again.
